Environmental Advantages
Skypebble's durable surface reduces the likelihood of the pool needing to be re-surfaced. This has a twofold environmental benefit :

1) In order to re-surface a swimming pool, the water must first be drained and then after the re-surfacing process has been completed the pool must, of course, be refilled. By dramatically reducing or even eliminating the need for re-surfacing, Skypebble makes a significant contribution to the conservation of our valuable water resources.

2) The concrete waste material resulting from pool re-surfacing must be transported and dumped. Once again, by reducing the likelihood of re-surfacing being required, Skypebble conserves time, money and resources by eliminating the need for the shipment of this waste, and also helps to relieve the pressure on our world's already crowded landfills.

Additionally, Skypebble's natural appearance (based on naturally occurring pebbles) visually complements the surrounding environment rather than disrupting it. Because Skypebble blends naturally with the environment, it does not require the installation of tiles above the water line to enhance the pool's appearance. Thus fewer materials must be manufactured, packaged and distributed to the site - resulting in further conservation of energy and resources.
